Emerald City Trapeze Arts had an absolute blast hosting the 2016 Magic Wheelchair Event! Thank you to everyone who came out to this special event and made it magical for all of the kids.
Magic Wheelchair is a non-profit whose mission is to put a smile on the face of every child in a wheelchair. We work with builders around the country to create these epic costumes. Seattle has two teams, lead by Klay (of Partybot Designs) and Paul Strong. Each of these costumes takes many volunteers and countless hours to create. They are truly epic, and make kids who often feel left out during the Halloween season, feel like the King or Queen of Halloween!
At 2pm we started the party with a grand flying trapeze show from the EC flyers, aerial performances from Ivanna Wei, Meredith Starnes, and J. Von Stratton. Everyone had the opportunity to meet the Seattle Mermaids and the costumed performers! At the very end, we revealed the incredible wheelchair costumes that our teams have been working on!
Thank you, J. Von Stratton, for planning and hosting such a fantastic event!
