Kids’ Camp Description:

Starting January 11th, come one come all (under 12) to the Youth Circus Program at Emerald City Trapeze Arts. Kids will learn a variety of basic acrobatics and aerial skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Students will gain an understanding of body awareness and coordination through their circus training and under the supervision and instruction of professional circus performers who are passionate about youth circus. At the end of each session, friends and family are invited to a performance.

About the instructors:

  • Eve Diamond brings over 10 years of youth coaching in gymnastics and circus arts. She’s taught at Circus Smirkus (Greensboro, VT) as well as AcroSports and Circus Center (San Francisco, CA). Eve also has a degree in secondary education and encourages kids of all ages and abilities to try something new and fun. She’s looking forward to coaching the next generation of circus stars at ECTA
  • Ivanna Wei has been teaching children since she was 14 years old. She has taught various disciplines including gymnastics, academics, rock climbing, high ropes, pilates, and aerial. In Los Angeles, she worked with a non-profit dedicated to bringing circus arts to children of all abilities. She has also taught kids aerial classes and at various schools and camps.

What to bring: Kids are required to wear form fitting clothing that will not impede spotting from instructors and going upside down. Pants must cover the back of knees (for aerial). Students with long hair need to tie it up and no jewelry can be worn. For the safety of everyone, students who do not dress appropriately will not be able to participate
