Introduction to Contortion is geared towards students who are already flexible and looking to expand their knowledge and flexibility. This class will focus on improving both active and passive flexibility using multiple techniques, primarily Mongolian. Students will work towards their over-splits, furthering their bridges, back-bends, chest-stands, and forearm stands. Increased flexibility in the hips, legs, and back will increase range of motion and improve lines on all aerial apparatuses.
Square splits at least 3 inches from the floor, able to hold a bridge with straight arms for at least 30 seconds (wrists and arms stacked under shoulders), or instructor approval.

45 minutes Front and Middle Splits Stretching/Conditioning
50 minutes Back Conditioning/Stretching
10 minutes Core/Cool Down
