Outdoor Rig at the Discovery Center (South Lake Union)
On 4th of July Weekend, the South Lake Union Discovery Center will feature a full-sized, outdoor Flying Trapeze rig on the lawn behind the Discovery Center. Grab your friends and family for a day of circus fun. Watch as our professional Flying Trapeze artists fly and flip through the air with the greatest of ease. Emerald City Trapeze Arts will be offering daily classes and FREE shows.
FREE Shows:
Our 4th of July Spectacular will knock your socks off. Set to some of America’s greatest tunes, our professional performers from around the globe will dazzle you with their Flying Trapeze tricks and flips! Emerald City Trapeze Arts has some of the best flyers in the world, and this is your chance to see them for FREE! Be sure to come early for all of the Shows. Space is limited.
Ready to try Flying Trapeze?
We will be offering two different ways for you to experience Trapeze! Snag a spot in our Pay Per Swing or try a full 2-hour class. From ground school to your first trick, you will be guided by our professional instructors who hail from some of the top circus shows in the world, including Cirque du Soleil and Pop Circus in Japan.
Pay Per Swing:
No experience required! $10 per swing on the Flying Trapeze. For each swing, get a $10 credit towards your next Flying Trapeze Class! Do 6 swings and get a FREE class at Emerald City Trapeze! Must be at least 6 years old.
All Levels Flying Trapeze Class:
A full 2 hour class. Learn all of the basics in this intro class. At the end of the class, you may have the opportunity to go for your first catch! If you are interested in taking a All Levels Flying Trapeze Class, please register in advance to save your spot. Must be at least 6 years old. Rate: $60 per class Whether Flying Trapeze is on your bucket list or you simply want a fun family outing, you will love your experience of flying through the air on a warm summer day!
