Emerald City Acro Intensive 2026

The 2025 Emerald City Acro Intensive was a success, and we’re excited to announce the dates for 2026! Drumroll please… July 18-26, 2026

Work trade and BIPOC scholarship applications are due by April 24, 2026.

Workshop Overview

Join us from July 18-26, 2026! This intensive group and standing partner acrobatics training experience is designed for dedicated practitioners to build their skills during these days of focused, goal-driven training.

Multiple progressive workshop tracks from beginner to advanced will allow participants to deepen their practice in specific areas such as dance lifts, dynamic partner skills, hand-to-hand, banquine, injury prevention, and more. Rather than simply learning isolated tricks, this experience supports long-term growth through structured training, personalized feedback, and a collaborative environment with world-renowned coaches.

Performance Track

NEW IN 2026! Introducing the Performance Track
New this year, a select group of intensive participants will have the chance to join our Performance Track, a unique opportunity to train, create, and perform as part of an ensemble acrobatic act. In addition to taking the skill-based classes with other students, performers will meet for focused creation sessions where they’ll learn how to build choreography, work on stage presence, create an act structure, develop group skills, and bring a fully realized act to life.

Led by Arthur Davis, this multi-level track is designed so every participant gets their moment to shine. Think of it as a structured playground for creativity—a place to experiment, collaborate, and discover what’s possible when movement and imagination collide. Participants will receive coaching on performance technique, stage presence, act structure, and the artistic process behind professional ensemble work.

And at the end of the week… they’ll take the stage.

Performance Track participants will debut their ensemble act in Sans Solo Trois, SANCA’s beloved annual acrobatic showcase. Now entering its third year, Sans Solo continues to rebel against the domination of solo circus acts by celebrating what happens when artists come together—duos, trios, and full-scale group pieces that blend strength, timing, trust, and a healthy dose of joyful chaos.

Hosted on the stage at Emerald City Trapeze Arts, this public, ticketed show brings high-energy acrobatics, synchronized ensemble moments, comedic emcees, and breathtaking aerial duets. Sans Solo Trois promises an unforgettable night of rebellious, community-powered circus—and you could be part of it.
