Wild is the Wind – A Night of Music and Circus
Tickets start at just $35!
“When all is said and done, the weather and love are the two elements about which one can never be sure.” – Alice Hoffman, Here on Earth
Join us at Emerald City Trapeze Arts for an evening of world-class circus acts and live jazz music by Grammy-award-winning (and nominated) musicians, Wally Minko, Tim Kobza, David Zarlenga, and Kevin Axt with vocals by local talent, Kari Kirkland.
As unpredictable as the weather, the magical world of the circus proves to us that anything is possible. Watch as our performers embody the elements of weather and love – from the thunderous Flying Trapeze artists who fly through the air like flashes of lightening, performing some of the world’s most difficult tricks, to the ethereal Aerial artists who dazzle us with their soft, yet unmistakably powerful performances.
The mysteries of love and weather will be woven together into an evening of intrigue as professional musicians strike the balance between the sweet caress of spring raindrops and the turbulence of winter storms.
Since its inception 7 years ago, Emerald City Trapeze Arts’ shows have been sold out events. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets well in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.

About the Musicians
About the musicians – Kevin Axt is a Grammy-nominated artist who played bass for the Oscar-nominated films La La Land and Sully. Tim Kobza is an L.A.-based guitarist and recording artist who divides his time between composing, producing, performing, and teaching. His music can be heard on TV, film and pop records ranging in style from hip hop to jazz. Grammy nominated composer/arranger/keyboardist, Wally Minko has been a fixture on the Los Angeles music scene for many years now. His work with artists such as Jean Luc Ponty, Jon Anderson (Yes), Gregg Rolie (Santana), Pink, Tom Jones, Barry Manilow, En Vogue, Toni Braxton, Arturo Sandoval, Debbie Allen, Wayne Bergeron, Gary Grant, Dan Fornero and many others, is as much a testament to the quality and professionalism of his work, as it is his versatility and sheer talent. Kari Kirkland, a local Seattle native and talented vocalist, has performed across Europe and the United States. This show marks the release of her first, anxiously-awaited LP, Wild Is The Wind. Wild Is The Wind was recorded over 9 months in Los Angeles, CA, produced by Shelly Berg, the Dean of the Frost School of Music in Miami, FL.
