Alexander Cortes Workshops:
Emerald City Trapeze is honored to host 6 Flying Trapeze Workshops with the w
orld-renowned flyer, Alex Cortes! Alex is a fourth generation circus performer, growing up in the Cortes/Wallenda Family. He began flying at age 5, and by age 7, he was performing with his father catching. By the ripe old age of 9, he was throwing layouts and double saltos to his catchers. He became the lead flyer for The Flying Cortes, throwing the triple and three and a half. He has also flown professionally with The Flying Gaonas, The Flying Vargas and The Flying Poemas.
We are offering 3 All-Level Workshops and 3 Advanced Workshops under Alex’s instruction. We’ll have a maximum of 6 spaces available in each session, so sign up early to guarantee your chance to fly with this circus legend! Our very own Benny Searle was instructed by Alex and is now flying with Mystere, at Cirque du Soleil!
