Just in time for Christmas and the Holidays, our Winter Kids’ Program will offer students the chance to try Flying Trapeze, Aerial Arts, and Tumbling!  Come drop your kids off during the winter break and let them blow off some steam while learning some new skills!

Winter Camp will provide a FUN opportunity for 8-12 year olds to learn flying trapeze, aerial, and trampoline skills with a focus on fun and creativity from expert coaches and teachers.
After a high-energy physical warm up students will have a chance to learn flying trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hoop, acrobatics, tumbling and trampoline with plenty of fun, clowning, and face painting too! The sessions will wrap up with an informal show and tell showcase for parents to come see what their children have been up to! Our superb instructor, Gina Davis, will guide students through fun circus classes and laugh-until-your-cheeks-hurt games!

She found the circus in 2010 when she and that same special sister enrolled in an intensive workshop offered by cirque du soleil at the Banff Centre for Performing Arts. The sparkles! The glitter! The shiny people!! She was hooked right away.

Gina has been training, teaching and performing aerial silks since 2011 and has recently began a love affair with the Flying Trapeze. For the last ten years, Gina has been working professionally with youth in many different capacities including youth and family counselling, leading groups of juvenile delinquents through the woods, teaching music lessons, and most recently, teaching humans to fly!  She has worked teaching and creating circus shows at summer camps across Canada, and loves working with youth. With a passion for singing, dancing, flying and all things creative she is thrilled to be part of the Emerald City Team. Her life is an eclectic mix of teaching choir, musical theatre, and circus arts, doing jazz hands in the streets, running barefoot through the woods, and hosting elaborate parties in her volkswagen bus.
She holds degrees in Child and Youth Care and Classical Music Performance, and is currently finishing up her Bachelor of Education.
