If you love Prince, don’t miss this show! A Walk in the Park is a tribute to Prince and will feature High Flying Trapeze, Aerial Arts, and Circus Acts set to some of Prince’s finest music. Get ready for high-flying fun on the ground and in the air! See some of our very best amp up the tricks, the air, and the style with their powerful and genius skills! This is going to be a night of new records!

Show Date: Saturday, September 17, 2016
Show Time: Show starts at 7:30pm

Ready to Perform? 

Flying Trapeze: 

  • Step 1 – Sign up at the front desk if you are able to return to the platform (or with the goal of being able to by September 1). Must sign up at front desk by July 30th.
  • Step 2 – Team selection and rehearsal schedule and will be posted by August 1st.

Aerial Artists: 

Performance requirements: Song must in some way be touched by Prince. Performance must be under 5 minutes in length. 8 Aerial/Group/Pole acts will be selected for the Protege Show. Duplicate apparatus is okay. Must be Open Gym Certified.

Tech/dress rehearsal will take place on Friday, September 16th

  • Step 1 – Apparatus and Song Selection (must be able to send hi-res music file). Must sign up at front desk by July 15th.
  • Step 2 – Apparatus and Song Approval Process (artists will be contacted by July 18th with approval for their act).
  • Step 3 – Unedited video submission (with costume and makeup). Deadline: August 31st.
  • Step 4 – 1st round of Artist selection – September 3rd.
  • Step 5 – FINAL SHOW SELECTION – September 5th.
  • Step 5 – Show Order and Dress Rehearsal and Practice Schedule – details will be emailed to participants.

Pre-requisites: must be a current ECTA student who takes at least one Aerial/Acrobatic/Circus class per week.

If selected for the Protege Show, the artist must accept within 24 hours by email. If you haven’t replied, we will send out a second wave of notifications with the alternate selections.

Show prep Privates on stage with/out winch – $100 per hour per Instructor

Video submission guidelines: Must submit COMPLETE unedited act, contact info, and a HiRes copy of the music file.

Props or special considerations? Name ALL props, special rigging requirements in initial proposal.

ECTA will produce the show. You do not need to provide a rigger.
